William Parker is currently working as a 3D artist for Lunchtime Studios, creating 3D objects, user interface icons, and 3D environment assets for the game “Lords of New York.” Lunchtime Studios and “Lords of New York” won the 2014 Perforce 20/20 Game Innovators Contest. Parker is also completing a master’s degree in game design with a focus on 3D modeling at Academy of Art University.
While still a student, Parker, from Shrewsbury, Mass., was in the running for “Boston Visual Artist of the Year” in 2013, and he was featured in the May 2014 issue of PC Gamer magazine. Parker’s ZBrush sculptures, character designs that can be used in video games or film, are on display at http://www.rawartists.org/boston/rawards2013.
After submitting his work to the RAW Boston Encompass Showcase, Parker was invited to enter his work in the fifth annual RAW Indie Arts Awards competition. He moved from the top five nominees to the top three. Parker set his sights on earning the top slot at the RAWards semifinals in Boston, which would put him in competition for the “National Visual Artist of the Year,” to be held in Los Angeles.
