Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

  • FAFSA (opens in a new window)
    • To complete your FAFSA. (Becker’s School Code is 002123)
  • FSA ID (opens in a new window)
    • To create a Federal Student Aid ID and Password. An FSA ID is required for students (and for parents of dependent students) when completing a FAFSA.
  • Direct Loans (opens in a new window)
    • Complete your Master Promissory Note and Entrance Counseling.
  • Direct PLUS Loans (opens in a new window)
    • Parents and Graduate Students can apply for a Direct PLUS Loan.
  • Selective Service (opens in a new window)
    • Male students applying for federal financial aid are required to register with Selective Service. U.S Citizens or immigrants who were assigned male at birth and changed their gender to female are still required to register with Selective Service in order to receive federal financial aid. Individuals who were assigned female at birth and changed their gender to male are not required to register.

FAFSA Verification Documents

The federal government selects certain FAFSA to be verified. Selected students are required to submit additional documentation to the Office of Financial Aid (please note, documents with Social Security Numbers are not accepted through email). If we are requesting any of the following documents, please see the link(s) below and submit them to our office as soon as possible. Your file cannot be completed if there are document requests outstanding.

* You will receive an email and/or paper letter informing you if we require any of these items to complete your file. Please only submit the documents that the Financial Aid Office is requesting.

2019-2020 Forms

2019/20 Verification Worksheet (opens in a new window)

Print and complete this form when requested by the Financial Aid Office. Paper forms are also available in our office, or we can mail or email one to you upon request. Verification worksheets must have a wet signature by the student (and parent, as applicable). These can be submitted by email, fax, postal mail, or in person.

2019/20 Tax Return Transcript (opens in a new window)

Request a 2017 IRS Tax Return Transcript for 2019/2020 FAFSA verification. The IRS forwards the transcript to the student/parent making the request. Upon receipt, the student/parent must forward the transcript to Becker via fax (508.890.1511), US mail, or by delivering it to the office in person. For your data security, Becker does not accept tax transcripts through email.

2019/20 Verification of Nonfiling Tax Form (opens in a new window) – Option 1: IRS Tax Transcript

The most convenient way for families to provide Becker with verification of non-tax filing documentation is to furnish our office with a Tax Return Transcripts/Tax Account Transcripts that indicate “no record of return filed” or “no transcript on file.” The IRS forwards the transcript to the student/parent making the request. Upon receipt, the student/parent must forward the transcript to Becker via fax (508.890.1511), US mail, or by delivering it to the office in person. For your data security, Becker does not accept tax transcripts through email.

2019/20 Verification of Nonfiling Tax Form (opens in a new window) – Option 2: Electronic

Request a Verification of Nonfiling Letter for 2019/2020 FAFSA verification. Required if an independent student (or parent of a dependent student) did not file 2017 taxes. The IRS forwards the verification letter to the student/parent making the request. Upon receipt, the student/parent must forward the transcript to Becker via fax (508.890.1511), US mail, or by delivering it to the office in person. For your data security, Becker does not accept Verification of Nonfiling Letters through email.

2019/20 Verification of Nonfiling Tax Form (opens in a new window) – Option 3: Paper (IRS Form 4506-T)

Required if student (or parent of a dependent student) did not file 2017 taxes.

The completed form must be mailed or faxed directly to a regional IRS office (fax numbers listed on Page 2 of 4506-T). Be sure to check Box 7 on the form.

The IRS forwards the verification letter to the student/parent making the request. Upon receipt, the student/parent must forward the transcript to Becker via fax (508.890.1511), US mail, or by delivering it to the office in person. For your data security, Becker does not accept Verification of Nonfiling Letters through email.

***For individuals unable to obtain a Verification of Nonfiling from the IRS

If you have attempted all of the methods above and are still unable to obtain a Verification of Nonfiling letter, you may submit a signed statement to our office. This statement must document your attempts, your reason for not filing taxes in the given year, and be signed by the person writing the letter. In addition, if you worked during the year but did not file taxes, we will need a copy of your W-2 or 1099 for that year.

2019/20 Proof of Citizenship Form (opens in a new window)

This document must be signed by a Notary Public and submitted by mail (document cannot be faxed or emailed). Alternatively, students can present original citizenship documents in the Financial Aid Office in lieu of filing this form.

2019/20 Identity and Statement of Education Purpose (opens in a new window)

This document must be signed by a Notary Public and submitted by mail (document cannot be faxed or emailed). Alternatively, students can fill out the document in person in the Financial Aid Office.

2019/20 High School Completion Form (opens in a new window)

Download and complete this form when requested by the Financial Aid Office. Paper forms are also available in the office. These can be submitted by email, fax, postal mail, or in person.
