Students

At Becker, we help you connect your academic pursuits with your career goals. Because we have integrated academic advising and career education, our approach is to have your work with one advisor throughout your Becker College career, and beyond. Our advisors help you understand the curriculum for your major, assist you with consideration of study away options, focus on finding the right timing for experiential learning, and ultimately, help you explore how to apply your classroom learning to multiple career options. Because the goal is a long-term connection, your advisor within the Center for Career Education & Advising (CCEA), we will get to know you, and can help identify strengths, values, talent, and experiences that can contribute to long-term goals and work opportunities.

We have two campus locations:

Academic Advising

Academic advising is a process of information exchange that empowers students to realize their maximum educational potential. Students who are enrolled at Becker are assigned an advisor. You should meet with your advisor at least twice a semester for a major/career exploration appointment and to register for courses.

Career Education

Navigating through college to determine your career passion is a hard–the Center for Career Education & Advising is here to help. We are available to meet and help you create your plan. We believe in the high tech, high touch approach, and you will benefit from both during your experience at Becker College. You will be able to get guidance from your advisor, faculty and other members of the Becker College community. You will have access to resources including Handshake, Career Shift, and Focus 2 throughout your time at college and beyond.
