A MESSAGE FROM PRESIDENT CRIMMIN ABOUT COMMENCEMENT

As we have promised the Class of 2020 and the Class of 2021, Becker College will hold its Commencement on May 8 at the DCU Center. The ceremony, which marks the institution’s 232nd and 233rd Commencements, will be divided into two ceremonies to ensure the health and safety of attendees. A 10 am ceremony will include graduates from the School of Design & Technology, Master of Fine Arts graduates, and graduates from the School of Graduate & Professional Studies. A 3 pm ceremony will include graduates from the School of Human & Animal Health (SHAH). Graduates will be allowed to invite four guests to the ceremony.

Pre-registration will be required; more detailed information will be forthcoming. Students are urged to check their Becker email and the website.

While this Commencement ceremony may be bittersweet not only for our graduates, but also for the faculty and staff who have called Becker home for many years, I urge us to look forward to it as a time for celebration. For more than two centuries, the many iterations of Becker College over the years—Leicester Academy, Becker’s Business College, Leicester Junior College, and Becker Junior College—have educated people who have gone on to achieve great professional and personal success.

So, too, will it be with the Class of 2020 and Class of 2021. Becker’s legacy, mission, core values, and education have served to transform you and build the foundation for your respective futures. I have full confidence that the work that you have done here will be carried forward and will always be a part of you.

I look forward to gathering as a community and celebrating your great achievement!

Sincerely,

Nancy P. Crimmin, Ed.D.

President
