At Becker College, we believe that our students should be active global citizens. A part of global citizenship is taking advantage of the democratic right we are granted in this country: voting.
We believe in assisting students through the process of registering to vote and strongly encourage voter participation. Please use this page as a resource to find out about the process of registering to vote and how, where, and when to vote.
Registering to Vote Online:
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts provides online voter registration, as well as the ability to check voter registration status. Please visit the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Secretary of State website to register or check the status of your voter registration. Through the online resource, you are able to: apply to register to vote in Massachusetts; change your name or address for voter registration purposes; and enroll in a political party, change your party enrollment, or unenroll from a party.
If you wish to be registered in your hometown or home state, please visit your state’s Secretary of State – or Election Commission’s webpage – to find out how to register there. The U.S. Vote Foundation provides a directory of every state’s election officials, and voting information.
If you are a resident of Massachusetts, and wish to remain registered at your home address, please visit the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Secretary of State page on Absentee Ballots to apply for an absentee ballot.
If you decide not to register to vote in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, absentee ballots are available to you to participate in the upcoming election. Please visit www.usvotefoundation.org for more information about absentee ballot voting in your state, and/or to apply for your absentee ballot.
