School of Nursing earns new distinction

Becker College’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction for its strong record of preparing graduates for real world success. This new special field of study distinction comes on the heels of another college-wide honor by Colleges of Distinction, a national guidebook honoring schools throughout the U.S. for excellence in undergraduate-focused higher education. In March, Becker was named a national College of Distinction for creating a truly unique learning environment where students not only earn college credit and valuable life experience, but also participate in character-building programs.
“To have our nursing program singled out for its academic excellence is not only a great honor but also confirms that our experiential learning-approach to education is having an impact and yielding job-ready graduates,” said Nancy P. Crimmin, Ed.D., president of Becker College. “We are pleased to receive this prestigious national designation for one of our top academic programs.”
The School of Nursing & Health Sciences offers accredited undergraduate programs in nursing and exercise science that emphasize hands-on training and mirror the demands of the dynamic healthcare industry. Nursing graduates have consistently maintained one of the highest pass-rates on the licensing board examination.
