Becker Looks to Help Hurricane Harvey Victims

Published on Friday, September 1st, 2017

Becker College is joining the city of Worcester in collecting donations to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey. The City will host the United Way and American Red Cross on Friday, Sept. 8, from 12-9 p.m., on the Worcester Common Oval.  Donations can be made during the event, which will feature music, food and activities. In addition to checks or cash to either the Red Cross or United Way, the city will be collecting travel size toiletries (soap, shampoo, toothpaste and toothbrushes only).

Becker is proud to take part in this effort. If you’d like to contribute, please drop off travel size toiletries at the Center for Global Citizenship, at 44 West St., Worcester. Campus donations must be made by noon on Friday at which time the Becker donations will be delivered to the Worcester Common. For more information, please contact Debra Pallatto-Fontaine, executive director for Global Initiatives, at debra.pallatto-fontaine@becker.edu.
