Becker is proud to announce that the College has been awarded a 2-year, $115,100 grant. The grant was received from the Davis Educational Foundation established by Stanton and Elisabeth Davis after Mr. Davis’s retirement as chairman of Shaw’s Supermarkets, Inc. The grant is for continued support of the College’s Agile Mindset Capstone Course and Assessment Tool and is being used to create the capstone course, provide faculty training, and develop a proprietary assessment tool.

“We feel that our work with the Agile Mindset is essential in positioning our students to be best prepared for the rapidly changing global economy they face upon graduation. The contemporary view we provide on the topic of the life of work, and the need for continued learning and growth through one’s career, improves the ability of those educated at Becker College to navigate the uncertainties of the workforce of tomorrow,” said Becker College President Nancy P. Crimmin, Ed.D. “We are immensely grateful to the Davis Educational Foundation for their continued support of the College and this initiative.”

The grant is especially significant because it shows that educators and benefactors like those at the Davis Education Foundation support Becker’s vision for what will be needed for career success in the future. Becker College is excited to continue work on this signature initiative which will positively impact students and graduates going forward.
