Becker Faculty Art Exhibit a Sensation

Published on Tuesday, September 5th, 2017

Becker Game Design faculty members Scott Niemi and Derek Hoffend will be hosting an exhibit titled “Sight, Sound, and Sensation” at The Sprinkler Factory, 38 Harlow St., Worcester from Saturday, September 9 through Sunday, October 1.

Their exhibit looks to engage the audience in more than just visuals. Niemi and Hoffend use light and sound to enhance their sculptures and paintings to give a unique sensory experience.

Discussing the showing with Fitchburg’s Sentinel & Enterprise, Scott details his thoughts on Becker, “I enjoy my job very much, both working for the school and their mission,” explains Scott, “as well as the interaction that we as faculty get from working with the students and helping them grow intellectually.”
