Becker College participates in CIGE Global Connections

Dr. Debra Pallatto-Fontaine, Becker College Executive Director for Global Initiatives and Yunus Social Business Center at Becker College, recently participated in the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement (CIGE) Global Connections: U.K. Networking Intensive Program, which took place Dec. 11-14, in London. Jointly developed by the American Council on Education (ACE) Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement and Universities UK International, the four-day program brought a select U.S. delegation to the U.K. to:

  • Attend a semi-annual conference of pro-vice chancellors for international affairs from approximately 40 U.K. institutions;
  • Explore the U.K. higher education system in a changing political context through meetings with experts;
  • Spend a day on the U.K. campus to learn how international activities are managed, exchange good practices, and discuss possible collaborations;

  • Create an ongoing community of practice by engaging with U.K. and U.S. colleagues and ACE staff before, during, and after the program.

Dr. Pallatto-Fontaine was selected through a competitive application process.
