Lower promotes three officers to sergeant, Cape May Star and Wave, Dec. 31

Becker College alumnus Edward Edwards has been promoted to the rank of sergeant for the Lower Township Police Department in New Jersey. Edwards has an associate degree in criminal justice from Becker.

Becker’s Figueroa named Baker of the Year, Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Dec. 29

Lynelius Figueroa, head baker at Becker College, has been named Baker of the Year for the Northeast region by Chartwells Dining Services.

NP Police Department announces promotions, The Valley Breeze, Dec. 26

North Providence police sergeant Michel’Angelo Scaramuzzo, who graduated from Becker College, has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant.

Becker College participates in CIGE Global Connections, American Towns, Dec. 21

Dr. Debra Pallatto-Fontaine, Executive Director for Global Initiatives and Yunus Social Business Center at Becker College, recently participated in the Center for Internationalization and Global Engagement (CIGE) Global Connections: U.K. Networking Intensive Program in London. Becker College alum Ryan Canuel has received the 2017 Rising Pixel Award. He is the founder and CEO of Petricore Games.

The Women’s Emergent Leadership Institute (WELI) was highlighted recently in the Worcester Sun. The program is offered through the Yunus Social Business Centre @ Becker College. Also featured was winter intersession at Becker College, where students can take classes in just a few weeks.
