Guest Speaker: Molly Pietrantonio from Habitat for Humanity MetroWest/Greater Worcester

Description

habitat for humanity

Molly Pietrantonio is a volunteer coordinator at Habitat for Humanity in the Greater Worcester area. Molly has experience in working with families who are assisted through the organization. She has managed to create sustainable practices for the Habitat partner families as well as supervise the interns and volunteers, coordinate corporate sponsorship build days, and schedule volunteer event calendars.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, Christian housing ministry. The organization believes every person should be given a safe and affordable house to live in. Habitat for Humanity builds and repairs homes all over the world using volunteer labor and donations. Habitat houses are sold to selected partner families at no profit and are financed with affordable loans. The payments from the selected families are then used to build more homes for those in need.   Ms. Molly Pietrantonio will be sharing the story of Habitat for Humanity and her experience in the organization. We have invited her to the Global Citizenship course, but the event is open to all students! Come join us!
