Dean Ritacco to Speak at 2020 Esports Rising Virtual Conference, Nov. 19

Alan Ritacco, Ph.D., assistant vice president and dean of the School of Design & Technology at Becker College, will be speaking at the 2020 Esports
Rising virtual conference on November 19.
The conference, organized by The Esports Observer and the Sports Business Journal, brings together industry leaders who will examine the current state of esports—and look beyond to see how stakeholders can be positioned for future success.
Each year, Esports Rising has drawn over 300 industry executives from all segments of the industry who discuss, debate, and share insights in an effort to move the industry forward.
Ritacco will speak at a panel entitled “The Future Role of Collegiate Esports,” and be joined by Lindsey Darvin, assistant professor, Sports Management Dept., State University of New York College at Cortland; Wim Stocks, CEO, Collegiate StarLeague; and Dr. Marc Williams, global scholar practitioner, Florida Memorial University.
Becker, known for its highly ranked game design and interactive media programs, is also home to the nation’s first esports management degree program and the first varsity esports program in New England.
