About the Course:

This course examines the historical and philosophical origins of the law, the sociological impact of the law, the effects of the law on the political process and public policy, and an analysis of the importance of law within our increasingly pluralistic society. Students will explore, discuss and evaluate the legal implications of current events in the world in a variety of areas. Prerequisites: ENGL1001, SOCI1001, PSYC1001. Meets the requirement for Criminal Justice, Global Awareness and Diversity elective.

Course offered: Fall, Spring.
