About the Course:

In this course, students will explore the major themes, faith practices, and symbols and concepts of the major religions: Christianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Islam, and Hinduism. Because religion plays a significant role in history and society, study about religion is essential to understanding both our nation and the world. The course will enhance understanding of various religions to eliminate misconceptions and to develop a healthy respect for difference. Attention will also be given to how real people, through biography and autobiography, have expressed the spiritual dimension of life through their religious traditions. Meets the requirement for Humanities/Fine Arts Elective.

Course offered: Spring.
