About the Course:

An intensive study of one or more of the various genres of the American cinema, including westerns, musicals, film noir, gangster films, and detective films. These motion pictures will be analyzed for content, technique, mass audience appeal, and the historical, political, or sociological context within which the film was produced. Meets the requirement for Interactive Media Program and Humanities elective.
