About the Course:
This course will introduce the technical and procedural components of an information security program that will assist in the mitigation of risks to information security. Students will learn hands on techniques to apply technical controls to address vulnerabilities. Learning to think like an attacker and knowing the tools and techniques of attackers is pivotal to designing and configuring IT security systems. Hands on experience will be gained in these tools and techniques that will enable the students to create countermeasures against hacking attacks. Prerequisite: CPTR2800
