About the Course:

A course covering the form and function of eukaryotic cells. Issues regarding transport mechanisms, cellular signaling, genetic regulation, and genetic technology are addressed. Attention is given to research design and experimental findings that support the subject matter. Prerequisites: One year of college chemistry and one year of biology or anatomy and physiology of domestic animals. This course assumes a prior knowledge of cell structure, chemical bonds, functional groups and the major biological molecules. Usually offered spring semester. Prerequisite: Either BIOL3003 or CHEM3003.
