Becker Esports nominated for GameHERS Award

Becker College has been nominated for a GameHERS Award in the Community Category for Best Collegiate Esports Team. To vote for Becker, visit https://thegamehers.com/vote before November 13. Other institutions in the running include University of California Irvine, George Mason University and Shenendoah University. The GameHERS Awards are the only awards in gaming by women, for women.
“We are honored to have been nominated alongside so many other great programs,” said Tim Loew, general manager of the Becker Varsity Esports Program.
Becker, which is home to a popular esports club and New England’s first varsity esports program as well as its first-in-the-nation esports management degree, is currently competing in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) inaugural esports season featuring teams in League of Legends, Overwatch, Valorant, Madden and Rocket League.
GameHERS is a women-led community dedicated to amplifying and centering the voices of women, femme-identifying games and non-binary gamers who are comfortable in spaces that center women.
