The mobile titles are available for free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play.

“We’re very excited about these fun new games,” said Monty Sharma, managing director of MassDiGI (the Massachusetts Digital Games Institute). “The students involved overcame many pandemic-related challenges in order to ship these games on schedule.”

The student-made games, which all originated during MassDiGI’s Summer Innovation Program, were transitioned into MassDiGI’s new Collab internship program at the start of the fall semester. In Collab, students across a range of disciplines, including business students in Becker’s Digital Marketing Studio, had roles in polishing the games and getting them ready to launch.

Becker College senior Lexis Harvey worked on one of the new games, Pluto’s Ascent, as part of both the Summer Innovation Program and Collab.

“This experience helped me tie together the last three years of my education,” said Harvey, who is majoring in Interactive Media Design with a Game Arts concentration.  “Working on a team that was driven to launch a game was exciting.”
