Softball Team Wins President’s Academic Cup

Winner of the Fall 2018 President's Cup

Becker College President Nancy P. Crimmin awarded the College’s softball team with the Fall 2018 President’s Academic Cup on Saturday, October 20. The President’s Academic Cup is given every semester to the team with the highest average semester GPA. For the Spring 2018 semester, the softball team had a combined GPA of 3.39.

“I am so proud of our softball student-athletes,” said President Crimmin. “Their commitment to their team, to the sport, and to their education reflects outstanding achievement, both on and off the playing field.”

Softball Head Coach Dick Hurley said, “The players are a credit to Becker College, to our athletic department, and to our student-athletes in general, who consider their education as the number one priority!”

Other team members honored at the event included Cassondra Messier, Megan Klemanchuck, who is studying abroad this semester, and 2018 graduates Jennifer Boxell, Rebecca Carkhuff, Brianna Herforth, Samantha Lee, and Shannon Lundy.

The College is observing summer hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 am-4 pm.
