Obituary: Harriet R. Sorlin, The Post Star, Sept. 25

Becker College alumna Harriet (Richardson) Sorlin passed away on Sept. 21. She graduated from Becker Junior College with honors in 1949 and later served as the secretary to the president of Becker College.


Becker College to receive $1 million gift,, Sept. 23

Becker College will receive $1 million over four years from the nonprofit American Student Assistance, to be used for a new research center.  The news was also reported by several other publications including the Boston Business Journal and the Worcester Business Journal.


Coming Off Shutout, Griese Earns Becker Athlete of the Week,, Sept. 23

Becker College sophomore Baileigh Griese has been named the Becker Hawks Athlete of the Week for the week ending on Sept. 22. Griese also earned her first career shutout as the Hawks beat Anna Maria College 1-0 in field hockey.

At Becker College, smoking is prohibited in all college-owned or leased buildings and vehicles.  In addition, the sale, sampling and advertisement of tobacco products are prohibited on Becker’s campuses.

Becker College freshman Randy Morgan earned his second straight Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Rookie of the Week honor. In the Hawks’ 12-10 win over Worcester State, Morgan rushed for 105 yards and a touch down.
