Becker professor to speak at Celtic’s esports night

The Boston Celtics are hosting an educational speaker panel event on the esports industry featuring Vaughn Calhoun, director of business and esports management at Becker College. The event will be held prior to the Celtics vs Bucks game, on Oct. 30, at TD Garden.
“I will be speaking more so about why we created the esports management program and how it complements the gaming culture at Becker,” Calhoun said.
In addition to Professor Calhoun, the panel will feature Jim Ferris, managing director of CLTX Gaming at the Boston Celtics; Kruti Kanojia, co-founder of Healthy Gamer; and Victor Suski, director of College Esports at Boom.tv and founder of the American Video Game League.
Topics of discussion are expected to include: how to become a professional gamer, educational opportunities in gaming, and healthy gaming habits.
