Saluting the Past
Leicester Junior College represents an integral piece in the history of Becker College as we know it today. The Minutemen Room – a multipurpose function room on the Leicester Campus – poses a unique opportunity to celebrate the history of Leicester Junior College and Leicester Junior College Alumni. Our goal is to design a Leicester Junior College “wall of history” that presents as a visually artistic and historically informational resource within the Minutemen Room.
About the Minutemen Room
The Minutemen Room is dedicated to preserving the beloved Leicester Junior College honor and legacy. The final phase of the Fuller Campus Center is to complete the multipurpose function room on the second floor. The space encompasses the entire back portion of the building overlooking green space and Alumni Field.
Square Footage: 5,393 square feet
Total Project Cost: Estimated $600,000
Completion Goal: Next academic year
Embracing the Future
Our students are our past and our future. Currently many programs, meetings, and living/learning opportunities are held off-campus due to space constraints on both the Leicester and Worcester Campuses. To meet the needs of our alumni and students, a group gathered to create the concept of the Minutemen Room. There is a critical need for a Leicester Campus multipurpose function room. The completed space will provide on-campus academic and activities function space while offering
expansive savings and revenue-generating opportunities for Becker College.
