The Office of Institutional Advancement develops and sustains relationships with alumni, parents, and friends of Becker College. Our purpose is to engage, cultivate, and steward our alumni and friends to make connections that will allow Becker College to advance its mission.
On February 3, 2019, Becker College lost a beloved friend, mentor, visionary, and dedicated member of the College community—Carlton “Carl” Perry.
Perry came to Leicester Junior College in 1972 and served as associate professor and athletics director until 1986, when he became assistant dean of students. In 1991 he was promoted to dean of students—a position he held until his retirement in 2001.
Over the course of his career, his influence on students, student-athletes, and coaches was profound. Carlton’s true impact went well beyond all the job titles he held. He was a mentor, leader, advisor, and a life-long friend to anyone who worked with him and all of the students who were fortunate enough to have him as their professor. Becker College will publish a full tribute to Carlton in the upcoming issue of Becker Magazine.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Carlton Perry Endowed Scholarship at Becker College, Office of Institutional Advancement, 61 Sever Street, Worcester, MA 01609.
