Information for Counselors
As a school counselor, guidance counselor, independent counselor, or educator you are part of an educational leadership team and a major influencer in the lives of your students. You support and counsel your students about college options, financial aid, the application process, and the proper sequence of courses to take to prepare for post-secondary study. Through the work that you do every day, you help your students maximize their potential and prepare them to succeed in college and beyond.
We’ve gathered some information below that we hope will be helpful as you counsel your students throughout the admission process.
Visiting Becker
We offer a number of in person and virtual visit opportunities for prospective students, their families, and counselors throughout the year. For more information about visiting our Worcester and Leicester campuses, check out our planning a visit page. Your student(s) could also qualify for a $1,000.00 visit grant by attending any one of our events (in addition to other merit should your student should apply and be accepted)!
Applying to Becker
Applying to Becker is easy- and free!
We are Test Optional for all academic programs! Application materials (transcripts, etc) can be sent via Parchment, Scoir, Slate.org. We will also accept documents by mail (Office of Admissions, 61 Sever Street, Worcester, MA 01609) or by email to admissions@becker.edu.
Please note: We do not receive or accept IEP or disability documentation materials at Becker until after a student is officially accepted, per ADA guidelines. At that point our disability services office will receive and review materials, as well as set up appointments to work with incoming students and families seeking student support services through the department.
