Christopher Ryan, MBA, MA, CPA, joined Becker College in January 2017 as an Instructor of Management and Marketing. Chris has over 25 years of industry experience in the fields of finance, organizational learning, change management and quality control.

Prior to joining Becker, Chris spent a total of 22 years working at Unum. Chris spent 11 years working as Director, Learning and Performance Development and Quality. Prior to this role, Chris worked in a variety of leadership roles in Unum’s Benefits Department. Chris is a highly adaptable and flexible people manager and an innovative out the box thinker inspired by future possibilities. Chris is a change leader and change champion who thinks strategically and thrives working in a team environment and collaborating with others. Chris led many teams through organizational change in an effort to achieve higher levels of performance and efficiency. Chris’s personal expertise is talent and organizational development, with particular focus on promoting a learning culture.

Chris graduated from Nichols College with a Bachelors in Science in Accounting. Chris received his MBA from Nichols College and received a Master of Arts in Adult Learning from the UCONN Neag School of Education. Chris is a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Massachusetts. Chris has taught graduate level courses at Nichols College and Assumption College and graduate and undergraduate courses at Worcester State University.

As a community volunteer, Chris served on the board for Family Services of Central Massachusetts for two years, served on the board for the Wachusett Youth Lacrosse league for 3 years, served on the board on the Wachusett Flag Football league for 10 years and served as this leagues Board President for 2 years. Chris has also supported Boy Scouts of America by serving as an Assistant Scoutmaster and Scoutmaster over a 10-year period of time.
