Bachelor of Arts in Interactive Media Design / Master of Fine Arts 4+1 (Game+) Program

When applying to the undergraduate interactive media degree students interested in earning their BA and MFA in five years should indicate this at the time of application.
Students enrolled in the 4+1 program will earn both their BA and MFA in five years. They will complete core game requirements during their first three years of undergraduate study with the fourth year being a bridge year into the graduate program. In the fifth and final year of study students will complete their graduate work and thesis projects.

Students should apply to the 4+1 in their freshman year and must meet the following requirements for the first three years:

  • Be enrolled as a full time student
  • Maintain a Cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Maintain a Game GPA of 3.0
  • Submit a portfolio for review at the end of each year (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior)
    • Portfolio will be judged by a faculty panel and be graded as “Pass, Pass with Concern, or Fail”
    • Students must pass a minimum of two portfolio reviews for admittance into the MFA program in their fourth year.
