Certificate in Alcoholism/Drug Abuse Counseling

Program Description

The certificate in alcoholism/drug abuse counseling gives students the option to work as an addiction counselor in many types of treatment settings, including:

  • Detoxification
  • Residential programs
  • Out-patient programs

Admissions Requirements

The Center for Accelerated and Professional Studies offers a rolling admission option; applications are accepted throughout the year.

Requirements include:

  • Completed signed application
  • If prior college credit(s) earned > copy of official college transcript(s) required
  • If no prior college credit(s) earned > proof of high school diploma or GED
  • Assessment testing may be required
