Equestrian Center Horses

The horses of the Becker College Equestrian Center are varied in size and able to suit all riders taking lessons and competing at the facility.

school horseTahoe: 16h QH black gelding owned by Coach Layne. Tahoe is used for every level of rider, from beginner walk trot through the 3’ riders making him one of our most special horses. He loves the I.H.S.A and his job with the Equestrian Team and soaks up any attention he can get from the animal science classes as well. He is the ultimate teacher.*







school horseRanger: 17.1h Appendix QH- our gentle giant. Ranger is an excellent advanced beginner and up horse. He loves hacking out on trail rides and loping around a course.*

Sarah: 15.1h grey TB mare. She competes locally with her owner during the summer. Sarah enjoys teaching beginner through novice lessons on the flat and over cross rails during the school year. *








school horseParker: 17.2h Hanoverian gelding. Parker is well educated on the flat and is a favorite of our intermediate/open riders. He knows his job and likes to take care of business Available for adoption to the right home- to inquire for more information contact equestrian@becker.edu. *







school horseLyra: 15.2h Appaloosa mare. Lyra is fun for all levels; she is a patient teacher for walk/trot riders, but she loves to jump and has all the right buttons for upper level flat riders.  Don’t be fooled by her small stature, this girl can move.*








school horseClay: 13.3h Welsh cross.  Clay is a once-in-a-lifetime pony with springs for hooves! He is well schooled on the flat and over fences, and is fun for all levels of rider. *








school horseBoots: 16h grey TB gelding. Boots is a favorite for Novice riders and above. He is green but willing over fences and cute on the flat.*

Vixen: Vixen is a 14.2h Welsh/TB cross mare. Vixen takes her job as a chestnut mare very seriously- she can be sassy, but is FUN for upper levels! She loves to jump and hack out on the trails. Noah: 16.1h bay TB gelding owned by Emily. Noah is fun and athletic over fences and has auto-changes, making him a favorite for our advanced jumping riders. Noah’s sweet and quiet nature also makes him an excellent teacher for lower level lessons. When he is not in a lesson, Noah can usually be found taking a nap.

Jazz: 16.2h bay TB gelding. Jazz is a patient schoolmaster with an extensive dressage and eventing background. He loves to be put through  his paces on the flat by upper level riders, but is also happy to teach beginners. Jazz loves to trail ride.

Gunner: 17h bay TB gelding. Gunner has super comfortable gaits and is a favorite among all beginner riders.

Whiskey: 15.2h chestnut draft cross. Whiskey’s large size is matched by his big personality! He is rhythmic and fun over fences, making him a barn favorite to jump around.

Flint: 15.1 black Russian Warmblood. Flint is a been there, done that horse- he excels in the flat. His steady gait makes him fantastic for all levels to learn on.

Tanner: 15.2h palomino Paint gelding. Tanner has a competitive background in reining, dressage, and showjumping. He has truly done it all, and loves to teach his riders everything he knows. He is a favorite for beginners through advanced riders alike.

Valentino: 14.2 black Welsh cross gelding. “Tino” is the best walk/trot pony around. He is especially talented at teaching his riders to canter. Tino also likes to jump around and show off his auto-changes!
