School of Human & Animal Health

The Becker College School of Human & Animal Health offers a wide variety of programs for students looking to become involved in either field.

The School of Human & Animal Health offers bachelor’s degrees in Biology, Exercise Science, Health Sciences, Nursing, Pre-Veterinary, Psychology, and Veterinary Technology, as well as a RN to BSN program. The School of Human & Animal Health offers associate of science degrees in Animal Care, Nursing, and Veterinary Technology. In addition the School of Human & Animal Health offers a variety of Dual Degree Programselectives, and minors.

The School of Human & Animal Health combines innovative academics with real-world clinical practice. All students are given the opportunity to complete externships that provide hands-on learning opportunities in their chosen field of study. Students studying animal health programs at Becker have access to more than 350 different externship locations, including animal shelters, clinics, research facilities, zoos, and more. Students studying human health programs at Becker have access to many diverse clinical sites including hospitals, ambulatory care facilities, long term care facilities, shelters, psychiatric hospitals, clinics, and pediatric and maternity sites.

The Becker College campus houses biology, chemistry, and hematology/parasitology laboratories, as well as skills laboratories and high-fidelity simulation laboratories. In addition, Becker is the home of the Lenfest Animal Health Center, a working small animal veterinary clinic that is used for student learning opportunities.

The School of Human & Animal Health has innovative curricula and faculty who are scholars, clinicians, and leaders in their fields.  Each program utilizes a combination of face-to-face, online, and blended learning courses in order to meet the needs of today’s multi-generational. The programs promote a student-centered culture of learning which promotes academic excellence. Becker graduates are pragmatic problem solvers, prepared to be transformational leaders, and prepared for the challenges of an evolving health care system.
