Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science

At Becker College, the Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science is a multidisciplinary and experiential based program that immerses our students in the study of human movement, health and wellness. Those who graduate with an Exercise Science degree go on to serve in a wide range of professions within the athletic and sports performance industry, fitness and wellness industry as well as the rehabilitation and sports medicine industry.

Our graduates have pursued careers in all of the following disciplines; however, many of these require additional education, training and licensure that cannot be obtained through our program alone:

The Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science program is a versatile degree that can provide our students with a strong academic background for a wide variety of jobs, fitness related careers, certifications as well as a strong preparation for entry into a graduate or a professional healthcare degree program. All Exercise Science students at Becker College will graduate with certifications in CPR/First Aide from the American Red Cross as well as preparation to qualify for the certification exams for Personal Training, Strength and Conditioning, and/or Exercise Specialist from nationally recognized organizations.

Join Becker College professors Sharon Dipasquale and Ales Jug on March 2 for a discussion about “The hidden truths about pandemics: How response to infectious disease determines socioeconomic impacts.” The event will be held in the Barrett Center, 80 William St., on Becker College’s Worcester campus. The lecture is part of the Franklin M. Loew Lecture Series at Becker College.  It is free and open to everyone.
