Thank you for taking the time to learn more about the School of Nursing & Health Sciences at Becker College. Becker has a long tradition offering academic programs in the health professions including nursing and exercise science. Our school has innovative curricula and faculty who are scholars, clinicians, and leaders in their fields. We offer undergraduate degrees in Nursing, including an Associate of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a RN to BSN program. Becker College nursing graduates have consistently maintained one of the highest pass-rates on the licensing board examination.

We offer undergraduate degrees in Exercise Science with concentrations in Health and Fitness and Pre-Physical Therapy. Each Nursing and Exercise Science program utilizes a combination of face-to-face, online, and blended learning courses in order to meet the needs of today’s multi-generational. Our programs promote a student-centered culture of learning which promotes academic excellence. Our graduates are pragmatic problem solvers, prepared to be transformational leaders, and prepared for the challenges of an evolving health care system. Combining innovative academics with real-world clinical practice.

With an increase in the aging population older adults are living longer and have increasing healthcare needs. In turn, the demand for health professionals has increased which will beneficially impact health professions and meeting the needs of the aging population. Significant job growth for healthcare professionals is projected to increase through 2025. What an exciting time to pursue a degree in the health professions.

Becker’s School of Nursing & Health Sciences has been recognized by Colleges of Distinction for its strong record of preparing graduates for real world success. This new special field of study distinction comes on the heels of another college-wide honor by Colleges of Distinction, a national guidebook honoring schools throughout the U.S. for excellence in undergraduate-focused higher education. Becker was named a national College of Distinction for creating a truly unique learning environment where students not only earn college credit and valuable life experience, but also participate in character-building programs.

Join Becker College professors Sharon Dipasquale and Ales Jug on March 2, at 5:30 p.m. for a discussion about “The hidden truths about pandemics: How response to infectious disease determines socioeconomic impacts.” The event will be held in the Barrett Center, 80 William St., on Becker College’s Worcester campus. The lecture is part of the Franklin M. Loew Lecture Series at Becker College.  It is free and open to everyone.
