Internships and Employment

The M.A. in Mental Health Counseling program at Becker College prepares its students for professional success as mental health counselors. All of our students have obtained internships of their choice and 100% of our graduates have secured the employment in the field before completing the program



After completing a 100-hour practicum in our on-site training clinic, all students complete a 600-hour internship at a community-based organization. 100% of our students have obtained internship of their choice. Internship sites have included the following:

  • AdCare
  • Community Healthlink (Passages Program)
  • Community Healthlink (Youth Mobile Crisis Intervention)
  • Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health
  • Family Continuity Programs
  • Family Health Center of Worcester
  • Hampshire County Jail and House of Corrections
  • Open Sky Community Services
  • Shrewsbury Youth and Family Services
  • Walden Behavioral Care
  • Wayside Youth and Family Support Network


Our graduates boast a 100% employment rate, with all students securing jobs in the mental health counseling field prior to graduation. Positions have included outpatient mental health counseling, health and wellness counseling, residential treatment, DBT group counseling, in-home treatment, and crisis counseling.
