Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling Accepted Students Checklist

Welcome to Becker College!

Congratulations on your acceptance into Becker’s graduate program! As part of the process, we know that you may have questions and concerns about what you will need to do to be ready to get started in the fall. We have compiled this list to help you prepare for the first day of class.

1.  Confirm Your Enrollment:

Now that you have been accepted to the program, your next step is to confirm your enrollment.

2.  Complete Your FASFA:

Graduate students are eligible to apply for need-based federal financial assistance.  Please complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) at www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Be sure to enter the Becker College code of 002123.

3.  Learn More About Ways to Finance Your Education

Find out more about different sources of funding for your graduate degree, including graduate student assistantship and scholarship opportunities on the Financial Aid Graduate Student webpage found here.

4.  Get Connected Through Becker Email

Email Account: After you confirm your enrollment, you will receive instructions from the Office of Information Technology (OIT) to activate your Becker email account. If your email address has changed or needs to be updated, please email the help desk at helpdesk@becker.edu. Once your Becker email address has been activated, you should check it often.

5.  Complete Health Requirements:

Student health record information is based on the Massachusetts Department of Public Health laws 105 CMR 220.000. To ensure the best health for you and all Becker students, enter in your current health insurance information and upload a picture of the front and back of your card in the Health Portal: https://becker.medicatconnect.com/

6.  Obtain Parking Permits and Becker ID card:

All Becker students are required to obtain a Becker ID. It is your official college identification and should be carried with you at all times.

All vehicles must be registered through the Becker College Police Department Offices.  Students can go to Becker.edu/parking or this link https://www.tocite.net/beckercollegepd/PurchasePermit/Purchase/Pe79GEzFgSU–2Tech–

In order to receive an automobile registration decal, the following is required:

  • A valid registration.
  • A valid drivers’ license.
  • Proof of insurance (out of state vehicles).

All registrations must be completed in person. Mailed in paperwork will not be processed

7.  Register for classes:

Your academic adviser will work with you one-on-one to ensure that you understand your degree requirements and take the right classes.

8.  Pay your tuition and fees:

Tuition and fees are billed prior to the beginning of each term. Students can view and pay their balances 24 hours a day via their myBecker account. Certain forms of financial aid may be used as a credit toward the bill. It is the student’s responsibility to pay any balance remaining after financial aid. All balances must be paid before the first day of class. Students may contact the Office of Student Accounts at 508.373.9437 with any questions.

Becker College is currently observing summer hours. Most of our offices are open Monday-Thursday 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m., and closed on Fridays. PLEASE NOTE: The Admissions Office is open on Fridays from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. on both campuses.
