Animal Care

The field of Animal Care allows students with a deep-rooted love for animals of many species to explore a variety of topics and career paths. The ever-evolving role of animals, and their caregivers, in modern society is creating job opportunities and career paths unheard of just a few years ago. Graduates from the Associates in Animal Care Program at Becker College will possess and be able to apply knowledge in the areas of animal husbandry, behavior, health and disease, breeding, and facilities management. Employment opportunities for graduates of the Associates of Animal Care Program include the areas of animal control, shelter, rescue, behavior and training, biomedical research, animal boarding, daycare, business ownership entrepreneurship, veterinary assistance, and more. Students are able to get numerous course hours utilizing the amenities of the Becker Veterinary Clinic located in the Lenfest Animal Health Center.

Combine your desire to work with animals— and expand your career options. Earn an Associate’s Degree in Animal Care plus a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Criminal Justice, Forensic Science (Criminalistics), or Psychology (MHC) in the same amount of time as a Bachelor’s Degree alone!
