Media Relations and Public Affairs staff welcome all inquiries and requests for experts from the media. Thank you for your interest. Our office provides timely, candid, and helpful cooperation with members of the media covering newsworthy events, students, faculty, and other College resources.

Media Relations and Public Affairs staff will provide members of the media with:

  • a central and consistent point of contact
  • faculty experts or other appropriate spokespersons
  • access to necessary space and resources
  • background information or official comment

Becker College considers the safety, privacy, and unimpeded academic and extracurricular pursuits of our students, faculty, and staff to be priorities. Access to residence halls, classrooms, and laboratories is not given without prior arrangement through the Office of Marketing & Strategic Communications. Commercial production companies and non-news-related media are required to contact the Becker College Marketing and Strategic Communications office before conducting business on campus.

Athletics in the Media

The Becker College Sports Information Director maintains regular outreach and contact with the media through the dissemination of game stats and results.

Sports Information works with the Interactive Media Communications Director as primary points of contact for pitches or placement of stories that focus on individual athletes, Becker College coaches, athletics administrators, construction or enhancement of athletics facilities, fundraising events and activities, student-athlete community service initiatives, and any other topic that can generally speak to the College’s reputation and visibility.

Advertising and Publicity

External advertising of College-sponsored events and activities—whether by direct mail; posting of flyers; radio, newspaper, or program advertisements; or through publicity outlets—must be coordinated with the Office of Marketing and Strategic Communications.
