The inaugural New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Madden Xbox Championship will take place on Saturday evening, May 23. Becker College’s Jordan Hazelwood ’20 will be matching up against Dean College’s Ki’Sean Bullard in a best two-of-three series. The tournament, which began last month with 24 participants, is down to just the final two.

Becker College senior Rebecca Fleiner was recently recognized in a national publication. Fleiner is pursuing a B.S. in biology as well as a B.A. in psychology with a pre-med concentration. She recently received an official acknowledgement in the journal “NeuroToxicology” for her research work in support of an article on “Brainstem Atrophy in Gulf War Illness.”

Becker College has been awarded a $30,000 grant from the Reliant Foundation to fund a Mental Health Career Pipeline Scholarship for students enrolled in the College’s Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. Becker College’s Registered Nursing Program has been ranked #1 out of 50 nursing schools in Massachusetts by Nursingprocess.org. Ranking factors investigate four broad areas: academic quality, NCLEX-RN exam performance, affordability, and the overall reputation of the school, with academic quality and NCLEX-RN first-time pass rate given the maximum weight as indicators of the College’s performance record.
