2014-2015 Orientation Leader Applications

Online application for Orientation Leaders. The “orientation leader” student leadership position works with the Office of Campus Activities & Student Leadership Development (CASL) to welcome, transition and support incoming students and their families to the Becker College community. Individuals who hold this position are expected to uphold and contribute to the mission of the College, to espouse the College’s core values, and to role model high standards of excellence for incoming students. OL areas of responsibility include: attend and participate in all orientation leader spring semester and June training sessions, work with CASL, orientation leader partner and team throughout the NSO trainings and sessions, lead small groups of incoming students throughout the NSO sessions and facilitate icebreakers, activities and conversations, assist campus administrators and staff with logistical elements/operations/presentations,live on campus in specific residence hall room assignment during OL training and NSO sessions in June. There will also be other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

A minimum of one year (at the time of new student orientation in June) as a Becker student. Must be enrolled as a Becker student in the fall semester immediately following the June new student orientation program. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, creativity, organization skills, a positive attitude, and a good sense of humor.

The OL positions report to the Office of Campus Activities & Leadership Development.
