Are you looking to build your resume and earn some money while completing your degree at Becker College?  The Fuller Campus Center is now accepting applications for student employees for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Campus Activities is seeking student leaders that have a strong work ethic, take pride in themselves and Becker College, and a good sense of humor.  Fuller Campus Center employees must project the core values of Becker College. Job opportunities at Becker College allow you to obtain important skills that employers seek in new graduates; leadership skills, problem solving skills, analytical skills, and communication skills.  Campus Activities provides training and supervision to all student employees, ensuring their success.

Important Information Regarding the Application Process

• Applications are due by April 1, 2013
• Interviews will take place from April 8 through April 19
• Candidates will be offered positions by April 22
• All student employees are required to attend training in August, before classes begin

Becker Leaders Understanding Excellence

Have you ever wondered…

• What are my personal leadership strengths, and how can I use them more effectively?
•  What opportunities are available to Becker College students who are interested in leadership?
•  What are the skills I need to be a leader at Becker College?
•  What are the skills I can learn now that will help me professionally in the future?

The BLUE CREW program is a new initiative designed to give Becker College students an opportunity to identify and develop their leadership skills outside of the classroom. By attending a series of workshops, students are encouraged to examine their own personal leadership style, further their personal and professional goal building, and increase their exposure to opportunities for leadership at Becker College and beyond. What you learn through BLUE CREW not only complements your academic experience, but can also give you a competitive edge for internships, in the job market, or when applying to graduate school.

All of the workshops are designed to be interactive and reflective. At the conclusion of the program, BLUE CREW students will receive a certificate and a fleece jacket to commemorate their experience.

What can I expect to learn by participating in the BLUE CREW?

BLUE CREW members will:

• Learn more about what type of leader they are, particularly their personal strengths that can be used to be a more effective leader.
• Understand the Becker College core values and how they pertain to student leadership at Becker College and beyond.
• Develop and articulate personal and professional co-curricular goals
• Make connections with peers and administrators who may assist students with networking and future opportunities.
• Explore resources available to Becker students both on and off campus.

How do I join the BLUE CREW?

Contact the Office of Campus Activities & Student Leadership Development to join the BLUE CREW. The deadline to join for the spring 2013 semester is November 30, 2012. Please email Tracey Pakstis-Claiborne at tracey.claiborne@becker.edu to register today.
