When and where is Commencement?
The Commencement ceremony will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA.
When are the mandatory Commencement meetings?
To be announced.
When will we receive our tickets?
Undergraduate students will receive their tickets at the mandatory Commencement meetings.
What if I cannot make the mandatory meeting?
Students can pick up their cap and gown at the Worcester or Leicester bookstores beginning April 25.
What if I need additional tickets?
The Commencement ceremony is a ticket-required event. Each graduate will be given 6 tickets for family members/friends.
There will be a limited number of additional tickets. Graduates are asked to submit their name to a wait list to be considered for additional tickets, which will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Students should contact Joyce.Erickson@becker.edu to be added to the ticket wait list.
How do I order my cap and gown?
There is no need to order your cap and gown ahead of time. Cap and gowns will be available for pick-up during the mandatory Commencement meetings.
Where can we park? Is there handicap parking?
Major Taylor Blvd. Municipal Garage – 30 Major Taylor Blvd. on the corner of Major Taylor Blvd. and MLK Jr. Blvd. (formerly Central St.) off of exit 16 from Rt. 290. For more information, please call 508-792-0314. Attendants will be collecting a flat parking rate of $10 at the entrance of this parking garage.

Who do we contact if we need handicap seating?
All requests for special accommodation seating MUST go through Becker College.
Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss options and reserve seating. Please note: if we are unable to accommodate large parties in accessible seating; your group may be separated at the event.
When will I receive the Commencement programs?
Commencement programs will be distributed during the ceremony.
Will there be a photographer, or is there an area set aside where we can take photos?
A professional photographer has been hired for the Commencement ceremony; each graduate will be photographed receiving his or her diploma. Your family will receive information directly from the photographer about purchasing the photos. Please advise your guests that the aisles must be kept clear during the ceremony and no one, except for college personnel and the photographers who have been officially hired for this event, will be allowed near the stage. The ceremony will be videotaped and then posted on the College’s website sometime after the event, and a press release will be sent to your hometown newspaper.
Will there be flowers available to purchase?
Yes, flowers are available for purchase. Please feel free to bring flowers for your graduate.
Where do I receive my honor tassel?
Students can pick up their honor tassel from the Registrar’s Office on the Worcester or Leicester campuses after April 15.

Where do I go to line up?
Graduates need to be at the Hanover Theater under the tents to line up at 10:00 a.m.
What are the Senior Week Activities, and when do they take place?
Finals end on May 7, with a make-up day of May 8, so there won’t be a “week” of activities. Special senior activities have been ongoing throughout the spring semester and are planned by Campus Activities and the senior class officers in SGA.

When will my son/daughter receive their diploma?
Diplomas will be mailed to the home address of the students who have completed all of their degree requirements and have no obligations to the College by June 25, 2014.
How will I know if I am graduating with honors?
Honors designations for recognition at Commencement are determined using the cumulative grade point average (CGPA) earned at the end of the semester prior to the last semester of enrollment before graduation (associate degree program – typically third semester of full-time enrollment; bachelor’s degree program – typically 7th semester of full-time enrollment). CGPA requirements for honors are not rounded.
