The Office of the Dean of Students is committed to providing quality programs and services to ensure your time here is time well spent. Our office provides direction and supervision to nine departments dedicated to serving Becker College students.
My greatest hope for you is that you pursue a major you enjoy; get involved in our many clubs, organizations, or sports; and leave your mark on Becker College and the surrounding community. I encourage you to find your purpose at Becker College by paying attention to your life. Determine what you enjoy, who you enjoy spending time with, and what you are most interested in learning.
I encourage you to not simply come to campus, take your classes, and obtain your degree, but to become connected, active, and involved. I know that it can sometimes be difficult to get involved in activities on campus, but I strongly encourage you to make the extra effort. To get the most out of your college experience, it’s important to attend campus events and join student clubs and organizations. Through these activities, you will continue to learn outside the classroom and make lifelong friendships. The connection to Becker College and all that it offers is the key to your success. By getting involved, you become more familiar with the campus and the many services provided.
For residential students, please utilize the residential life staff in your building to help you make connections and get the most out of your Becker College experience. Please feel free to stop by my office or contact me if you have any concerns. No matter how small or big your concern may be, I am always available to help.
I urge you to get involved after each class you attend. Continue to learn about yourself and others, and take advantage of opportunities that will help you gain leadership skills you can put to use now and in the future. Your success depends on it!
Sincerely,
Ken Cameron
Vice President of Student Affairs/Dean of Students
