Mary (Dunham) Eastman ’37
Mary (Dunham) Eastman ’37 celebrated her 91st birthday on January 11, 2011. She has lived a wonderful life “thanks to Becker College.” Mary worked for the U.S. Veterans Administration during the war and after moving to Chicago was employed by the Argonne National Lab to research and develop the first atomic submarine, “The Nautilus.” She has received a Volunteer Service Award from the mayor of her hometown, Elmhurst, Ill. and has been president of seven organizations. Mary has a son and a daughter, ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
