Christopher SchwartzChristopher Schwartz ’15 is a self-described “people person” who thrives on personal connections; as an alumnus of the Becker College business department’s Business Leadership Program, he still enjoys the connections he made during his time at Becker.

“I really enjoy people, and I like creating strong relationships,” Schwartz said. “I loved how I became very close to many of my business professors and fellow students in the classroom, and I always looked forward to going to class because we learned so much. To this day, I still keep in touch with many of my teachers and classmates.”

In addition to being a member of Becker’s Business Leadership Program, which recognizes the top students in the department and provides each with an academic scholarship and opportunities to participate in a power breakfast speaker series, company visits, and special projects with the College’s corporators, Schwartz made other connections across campus as often as he could. As a member of the Becker football team, he started in all 40 games during his four years at Becker and was voted team captain his senior year. He was also a Resident Assistant, Orientation Leader, and First Year Course Assistant.

“At Becker, I learned to take advantage of every opportunity that comes along,” he said. “I also learned to make the best of every situation.”

Schwartz currently works as a strategic sourcer for an information technology consulting company called The Goal, based in Reston, Va. He regularly calls on much of the advice he gained from business leaders at the Business Leadership breakfasts. “During every speech I learned something new that motivated me to succeed,” he said. “I was both humbled and very proud to be part of Business Leadership. I realized I was representing the business program and wanted to encourage other students to be part of something great.”
