Insurance Cost and Waiver Deadlines
For the 2010-11 academic year, University Health Plans, Inc. will continue to service our student health insurance policies.
The plan is underwritten by Security Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York, and is serviced by University Health Plans, Inc. The following is a summary of the benefits provided under the 2010/2011 Becker College student insurance plan. Please review these benefits to determine if your private insurance provides comparable coverage. After completing your insurance evaluation process, if you still feel that your private insurance is adequate, you may complete the on-line waiver process, keeping in mind the waiver deadlines below.

Part Time Student and Dependent Coverage:
For those students who are part time and wish to enroll in the Student Health insurance plan or for students who want to enroll a spouse or a child, please contact University Health Plans, Inc. directly at www.universityhealthplans.com where you would be able to sign up and make payment directly to the company.
When going to the site, click "Becker College" and then click on the "Dependent and Voluntary Student Enrollment". You would fill out the information and submit payment directly to University Health Plans.

All eligible students will be automatically enrolled in the Student Accident and Sickness Plan unless they certify that they have comparable coverage by completing the online waiver form by the above deadlines. Failure to complete this waiver by the deadlines above will result in the mandatory purchase of the College’s health plan, without the possibility of later waiver, refund or cancellation.
