The office carries out this responsibility by:
Maintaining a web-based, process management program for assessment that:
Aligns program goals with the college mission statement and general education goals
Provides curriculum mapping by aligning program objectives and courses
Reports assessment activities from academic programs and departments to the administration on a continuous basis within an annual reporting cycle
Assisting the faculty in understanding and organizing systematic activities at the course and program levels
Assisting program directors, department chairs and deans with the development of valid and reliable assessment activities appropriate to their area of responsibility
Organizing and interpreting the information supplied by the web-based reporting system so that the system itself functions as a college-level assessment portfolio—a fully transparent and dynamic college assessment plan
Helping faculty and administrators integrate assessment data into their planning and decision making activities
