Lady Hawks Steal Game from Nighthawks

Kristin Karat (Enfield, CT/Enfield) and Beth Pion (Enfield, CT/Enfield) both recorded a double-double for Becker College as the Hawks defeated the Nighthawks in today’s game in.  Pion had a game high 26 points and also ripped down 12 rebounds, while Karat supplemented an additional 14 points and 12 rebounds. 

The Nighthawks were ahead for the majority of the first half, but the Hawks came out with fire in the second half and took over the lead. Newbury College never recovered despite the efforts of players Jessica Lightfoot (Sewell, NJ/Clearview Regional), Catie Cullen (Beverly, MA/Beverly), and Katelyn Mark (Quincy, MA/ North Quincy) all of whom played impressive for the Nighthawks.  Lightfoot had 3 key three pointers, while contributing a total of 10 points and 6 rebounds.  Cullen contributed 19 points and 8 rebounds, while Mark threw in an additional 10 points and 9 rebounds.  

Becker improves to 2-3, while the Nighthawks drop to 0-6. Becker returns to action on Tuesday night December 4th when Mount Ida travels to Becker for a 6pm tilt.
