Men's Soccer gets ECAC bid

Leicester, MA. - The Becker men's soccer team will continue its 2007 season on Wednesday afternoon as the Hawks were selected as the No. 8 seed in the upcoming ECAC Tournament. Becker, which enters the ECAC playoffs with a 15-6 overall record, will travel to Norwich University for a 1 pm match-up.
Becker lost a 2-0 decision last week to Husson College in the North Atlantic Conference semifinals.
Norwich lost a 2-1 overtime decision to Johnson & Wales in last weekend's Great Northeast Athletic Conference championship match, earned the tournament's top seed.
The Hawks, led by first year head coach Taskin Guven, are led offensively by Dircilino DeBrito (17 goals, 5 assists, 39 points) and NAC Co-Rookie of the Year Alie Samura (13 goals, 5 assists, 31 points). Aaron Fill is the team's top goalkeeper, having posted a 9-5-0 mark with a 1.12 goals-against average this season.
Norwich is led offensively by Rob Harlow and Drew Dilley. Harlow and Dilley are tied for the team lead in goals with 16 apiece, while Harlow tops the team with 14 assists and 46 points. Dilley ranks second on the club with 34 points. Senior goalkeeper Jake Pagragan has a 15-3-1 record and a 0.87 goals-against average to go along with six shutouts.
The winner of the match will advance to the semifinals and would face either fourth-seeded Worcester State or fifth-seeded Coast Guard on Saturday at 1 p.m. The ECAC Championship is set for Sunday at 1 p.m.
