Residence Life - Mission Statement

The goal of Residence Life Services at Becker College is to provide resident students with a safe living environment that fosters student development and independence. In addition to an environment that supports the educational mission of the College, resident students have the opportunity to live in a diverse community with people from different backgrounds, values, and beliefs. The Residence Life Staff are available and trained to encourage and assist students in developing communication and problem solving skills that will enhance their abilities to attain life goals. Residents are provided social and educational programs to increase social interactions and knowledge while building community in the residence halls and throughout Becker College. There are various opportunities on campus that promote leadership skills and community involvement such as the Student Government Association, Clubs/Organizations, and Student Activities.

The Residence Life Staff and Student Affairs here at Becker College strive to enhance your overall college experience. We know that your residence hall experiences will contribute to your student development in such a way as to form lasting friendships while you learn and live in a diverse community based on mutual respect with an appreciation for individual needs and differences.
