Becker students rally to support humanitarian aid - Worcester Telegram & Gazette

Humanitarian aid is one of the many items on the chopping block as Congress debates the current budget, and will continue to be when they move on to the 2012 budget. Becker College students are organizing a rally in the Hawks’ Nest, on the Worcester campus, Wednesday, April 20, to raise awareness of this debate and the consequences of cutting funding to government programs that fight poverty and disease in other countries.
U.S. Rep. James P. McGovern will take the podium at 2:00 p.m. to address the rally. Local government and community leaders have been invited to participate.
